Prospective Students

We offer an undergraduate research practicum, CLP 3912, during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Since we train you to become an integral part of our lab, this class is a two semester commitment. Most students choose to stay on much longer. Rather than taking tests, each student is required to complete 8-10 hours of lab work a week. Often, students go on to write an honors research thesis under Dr. Bowers’ direction or apply for a University Scholar award. If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to contact us: 352-733-2459. Before contacting, make sure you meet the pre-requirements below:

  • At least one undergraduate course in Psychology, Biology, and Intro Statistics are required
  • 3.4 GPA
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
