Erin Ragsdale
Erin is a second year post-baccalaureate student in the University of Florida’s PHPB program to finish her prerequisite courses for Physician Assistant school. She graduated from UF in 2017 with bachelor’s degrees in Criminology and Psychology. While working at Shands during her senior year of undergrad she discovered her love of medicine, which led her to change career paths from law. She has worked for the past three years promoting mobility with patients, most recently as rehab staff for the physical and occupational therapy department which covers all of UF’s Heart, Vascular & Neuromedicine hospital. She enjoys working with patients as they recover from major surgeries and illnesses, and has a special love for the patients of UF’s lung transplant program.
Isabella Baeumler
Isabella is currently a second year pre-health post-baccalaureate student at the University of Florida. On the pre-med track, she currently volunteers with the American Red Cross as a part of the disaster response team. Isabella was previously a professional dancer and holds a Baccalaureate of Fine Arts Degree from New World School of the Arts (NWSA) affiliated with the University of Florida. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting and spending time with friends and family.
Samuel Speizman
Sam is a third year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Biology in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. In the future, he aspires to go to medical school. Additionally, he is involved in Dance Marathon at the University of Florida and the U Matter We Care initiative. Outside of the classroom, he is a huge Florida Gator sports fan and loves to cook with his friends!
Isabel Leon
Isabel is a third year undergraduate student at the University of Florida pursuing a degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience as well as a minor in Pathogenesis. She is currently a site coordinator at Idylwild Elementary School working with kids and other Mentor GNV volunteers. Through this organization she promotes academic achievement and fosters a caring learning environment. She is also part of the newly formed COVID Newsletter Committee in the Neuroscience Club, working to inform her community about current events regarding the novel virus. In collaboration with other students she will write about ways to encourage mental health during these stressful times and provide updates about the neurological effects the virus causes through elaboration of scientific studies. In her free time, she likes to read, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
Sarah Russ
Sarah is a third year undergraduate student at the University of Florida studying Biology with a minor in Health Disparities within the Pre-Medical track. She currently volunteers at North Florida Regional Medical Center and is a Center for Undergraduate Research Ambassador. She is also an ambassador for Dance Marathon at the University of Florida. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with friends and family and going to Disney World.
Caroline Stephen
Caroline is a second year undergraduate student at the University of Florida studying Health Science within the Pre-Medical track. She aspires to become a general Pediatrician and is currently working in a part time job, as a Kids Club Attendant, at Gainesville Health and Fitness. She also plans to volunteer with Equal Access Clinic under UF Health Shands this Fall. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys spending time with her family and playing sports.
