The Silver Research Registry is a database of individuals, over the
age of 60, who are interested in being contacted by UF researchers with
institutionally approved research investigations.
Purpose
To promote aging research within the University of Florida. The registry
provides UF investigators who have IRB (Institutional Research Board) approved
studies with contact information of individuals who may meet the investigator’s
inclusion/ exclusion criteria. It is a free registry to all IRB approved
investigators interested in understanding normal and abnormal aging processes.
Location of the Registry
The registry is a password protected database that can only be accessed
by the database coordinators of the Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory within
the McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Florida.
Information within the Registry
The registry houses information about an individual’s contact information,
demographics, health history, and type of research he/she may be willing
to participate (that is, longitudinal research, behavioral research, medical
research).
